Bike Trailer for Kayaks

I purchased this to use with my 16' cedar strip canoe, as it advertises a weight capacity of 100lbs on the trailer, and my canoe only weighs 60lbs. Assembly went great, and was impressed with the design, which takes down quickly and easily, and stores small enough to fit in my canoe with my bike for river trips. I took it on a 35km float down the North Saskatchewan river, and biked it 35km home through Edmonon. I noticed a hairline crack in the welds form on the upper rear wheel assembly, and stress marks forming on the welds opposite of the hairline crack. I ended up bringing the unit into a local welder and paying out of pocket to have it repaired and strengthened so that I could complete the trip I had planned for the next weekend. As before, I believe the design is great, but the welds are not strong enough and not supported enough on the rear of the trailer to support the rated weight load, or else I would have rated this unit higher.
